Hogwarts is a fine school steeped in tradition. In order to get in, you have to meet some basic requirements and fill out our Enrollment Application:

Gender: [Self-explanatory]
Likes:
History: [Must be at least 200 words long. This is an absolute must. Be descriptive, please-- and no amount of unexplained amnesia can get you out of filling out this section.]
RP Sample: [Must also be 200 words long. This will allow mods to assess your Role-Playing capabilities. We ask you at least be an intermediate Role-Player.]
Comments: [Anything you want to add that might not fit in the above slots.]
SOME RULES YOU MUST FOLLOW:
1. Your character is NOT directly related to anyone from the books. No exceptions. You're not Harry Potter's cousin, Snape's daughter, Professor Sprout's grandson, etc.
2. Your character MUST start as a First Year student. That means your character is 11-YEARS-OLD. Act accordingly, please. (Disregard this if you are applying for one of the open staff positions.)
3. If a class is required up through a certain year, please do the assignments for that class up until the Year it says. If you don't want to do the class anymore after that, then bomb the O.W.Ls for it or something.
4. Assignments are due when they're due, and cannot be turned in late (unless the teacher says otherwise).
